Founded in 2018 as a project of ASD Hight Dog, the Valli Bergamasche Trophy has become one of the most anticipated events in the Italian search and rescue dog community. Thanks to the collaboration with the ENCI Delegation, for the first time IPO-R trials for rescue dogs were organized in the Bergamo area, paving the way for an event of exceptional technical and human value.

Since its very first edition, the Trophy has stood out for the strong participation and enthusiasm of dog-handler teams from all over Italy. In 2021, the event reached an impressive milestone with 83 participants, a result that highlights its continuous growth and the widespread recognition of its importance. The Trophy takes place every year during the fourth quarter, usually in December, and includes the following categories:

•Rubble

•Area

•Mantrailing

The SAR-RH trials are judged by an ENCI/FCI jury, ensuring expertise, impartiality, and worldwide recognition. The Valli Bergamasche Trophy is not only a competition, but also a moment of connection, sharing, and growth for all those who believe in the power of teamwork between humans and dogs — a partnership built on respect, trust, and dedication that defines the very essence of rescue dog training.

It is with great pleasure and emotion that, on behalf of board of directors of Gruppo Cinofilo Bergamasco, I welcome you to this new edition of the Valli Bergamasche Trophy — an event that brings together passion, skill, and above all, love for our extraordinary four-legged companions.

We are proud to host you here in Clusone, in the heart of our valleys, for two days dedicated to rescue dogs and their handlers.

These trials are not only a moment of technical comparison, but also an opportunity to celebrate the commitment, preparation, and dedication that each of you puts into this discipline — a field that is as fascinating as it is important for the community.

As a dog enthusiast, even before being president, I wish to express my deepest admiration for the bond that connects you to your dogs.

You don’t see them as mere tools for work or competition, but as life companions — loyal friends with whom you share effort, enthusiasm, and sometimes even difficult moments.

It is precisely this special relationship that gives meaning to our commitment and makes cynology a true school of respect, trust, and collaboration.

A special thanks goes to all those who contributed to organizing this event — volunteers, judges, technicians, and sponsors — and of course to you, the participants, whose presence and passion bring this competition to life.

I wish you all good work, good luck, and above all, have fun. May these days be an opportunity for everyone to grow, to build friendships, and to share our love for dogs.

It is with deep pride and enthusiasm that the City of Clusone welcomes the Valli Bergamasche Trophy, an event of international scope that this year arrives in the Upper Seriana Valley.

Now in its sixth edition, this Trophy is not only a sporting event, but also an opportunity to highlight the crucial role that our four-legged friends play in complex rescue operations.

Knowing that we can rely on dedicated professionals — on the partnership between dog and handler — who work with such consistency, seriousness, and commitment in emergency situations, is a source of reassurance for all of us.

This event offers a unique opportunity for training and evaluation, allowing participants to test themselves in realistic simulations and to bring their level of preparation to excellence.

Moreover, the event plays an essential role in raising public and institutional awareness and interest in the world of dog training and the invaluable volunteer work carried out in canine rescue.
